"What Wax Base Do You Use for Your Wax Melts?"

I've poured my heart into creating a unique, proprietary blend that takes these wax melts to new heights. It's a fragrance powerhouse, holding an incredible amount of scent. The base is paraffin wax – no shade to soy wax lovers, it's just not my vibe for this formula. Rest assured, the wax base is non-hazardous and doesn't require to be on the CLP labelling.

"Why Don't You Offer Free Wax Melt Samples?"

I use three times the typical amount of fragrance oil in my wax melts, which means using the good stuff isn't cheap. So while I'd love to offer freebies, it's just not feasible without raising prices – and I want to keep these melts affordable for everyone.

You'll also join my newsletter series, where we'll have regular catch-ups about special offers, and behind-the-scenes peeks into my wax melt-making world. "What Size Are Your Wax Melts?"

I hand-pour each melt into a  1-ounce tubs (sold as single units 4.5cm wide x 2.6cm height, They may be small but they are very mighty). They're filled to the brim with fragrance, so even though they're not the biggest melts out there, they pack a serious scent punch! The weight can vary a tiny bit depending on the fragrance oil consistency (some oils are thicker and heavier than others), but every single one is loaded with enough scent to make your space smell amazing.

"Do You Offer Wax Melts in Different Sizes?"

I keep things simple with just one size – While I'm always dreaming up new ideas, offering other sizes like snap bars would mean using more wax and fragrance oil, which would unfortunately bump up the price all around. And I'm all about keeping my melts affordable for everyone to enjoy!

"How Much Wax Should I Use in My Warmer?"

It's all about personal preference, really. Some folks love a strong scent and use the whole tub at once, while others prefer to cut it into halves or quarters. You do you – find what works best for your nose and how long you want the fragrance to last.

Take a look at one of my blogs – it goes into more detail about wax amounts, melt pools, and all that good stuff.

"Can I use wax melts around pets?"

Wax melts are a fantastic way to freshen up your home and mask any lingering pet odours. While they're generally safe to use around furry friends, it's always a good idea to keep your warmer in a safe spot, away from curious paws and noses. Some pets might be more sensitive to scents than others, just like us humans!

I never claim my melts to be "pet-safe" because, at the end of the day, fragrance oils are chemicals. Some may contain essential oils, some may not. That's why it's always best to consult your vet if you have any concerns. I'm happy to provide Safety Data Sheets or CLP information to help them out.

Remember, just like household cleaners or other products with an ingredients list, it's important to use wax melts responsibly. Never pour melted wax down the drain, and always keep your warmer away from pets and children. Think of it like burning a candle near a baby – it's just not a good idea. And remember, always melt away from drafts or areas where little fingers (or paws!) can reach.

"Why Can't I Smell My Wax Melts?"

If you've been melting scents for a while and notice the fragrance fading, don't worry! It might just be your nose taking a break. My wax melts are packed with fragrance, so a little nose blindness is totally normal. If it's been a while, it might also be time to switch out the melt for a new scent.

Give your nose a rest, let it reset, and come back to it later. Chances are, the scent is still lingering. And in the meantime, check out my blog for tips on wax amounts, melt pools, and other fragrance-related topics.

"Is Wax Melt Vapour Safe?"

That wispy cloud you see isn't smoke, it's actually vaporized fragrance oil. When the wax melts, it releases the fragrance oil molecules, which then bond with water molecules in the air. This creates a visible vapour that carries the scent throughout your space. It's a testament to the high fragrance load in my wax melts, so as long as it's a white vapour and not actual smoke, it's a sign that your melt is working its magic!

"Do Wax Melts Expire or Evaporate?"

Wax melts don't evaporate like candles do, only the fragrance oil evaporates to release the scent. For more details, check out our blog post on wax melt evaporation. Do Wax Melts Evaporate? The Science of Home Fragrance BLOG

"How Long Does Each Wax Melt Last?"

The lifespan of a Daya's Essence wax melt depends on a few factors, including the type of warmer you use and your personal preference for scent strength. On average, each melt can provide 30+ hours of fragrance. However, you might find that the scent intensity decreases after a certain period, and that's when you can replace it with a fresh one.
